Who We Are

The Guam Energy Office is a small line agency within the Executive Branch of the Government of Guam.  Established since 1974, the Guam Energy Office continues to exist by Executive Orders and with mostly federal dollars from U.S. Department of Energy to operate and implement grant activities including addressing local initiatives.  With the Remaining Petroleum Violation Escrow distributions, the Guam Energy Office built its own office building authorized by U.S. Department of Energy in year 2000.  The office building is a small-scale demonstration facility featuring energy efficient measures such as lighting, Energy Star® office equipment and appliances, daylighting, solar applications, net metering, and roof/wall insulations.
